i got extremely lucky and managed to find an authentic yaoi paddle on facebook marketplace and then for the 2nd one i just bought a blank wooden paddle from amazon (https://a.co/d/hhtZb5C) and wrote YAOI on it with a marker

i guess you could say i am, i don't really care what others like reading as long as they don't project those things onto real people. some themes disgust me and others i think are cool and beautiful (cannibalism), i generally tend to stay away from the discourse though because it's draining and i'll be disliked no matter what i say. T_T both the proship side and the anti side annoy me, the lack of nuance in the discussions i've seen related to this is just awful to witness. i think there shouldn't be sides to it and people should just go with the old "don't like, don't read" logic to minimize harm. nobody's really having sensical discussions on the topic right now, everyone's just blinded by the labels assigned to the discourse, misinformation, and lack of critical thinking.
TLDR: i am generally "neutral" on ship discourse because i think there are flaws on both sides and i am pro-fic in the sense that i'm too old to care about what people like reading & acknowledge that fictional content works differently from reality

I took some time to actually read about the history of yaoi in the fujoshi info link. I’m really surprised by its history and I think it’s very interesting. It really changed my close-minded perspective. thank you for providing that resource.
